International Study Camp Gedenkstätte Sachsenhausen 2026
Schon zum zweiten Mal wurde das Team Blockbox zum International Study Camp in die Gedenkstätte Sachsenhausen eingeladen. Wir hatten Begegnungen mit jungen Erwachsenen aus der ganzen Welt. Ein sehr inspirierter Workshop mit Moritz Ecker als Super-Producer, Tino Kahl und Merle Weißbach von der Gedenkstätte. Entstanden ist ein schöner Song als Reflexion zu der Biografienarbeit zu den inhaftierten Musiker und Komponisten.
Am 9. Oktober 2026 gibt es eine Veranstaltung zum Projektabschluss des Pilotprojekts „Musik Macht Geschichte“ mit der Vorstellung der brandneuen Webapp. Darin sind die Materialien aus unseren Workshops verfügbar und können für zukünftige Workshops verwendet werden. Außerdem wird man mit der App Audiowalks auf dem Gedenkstättengelände machen können und Songs aus unseren Workshops schlagen die Brücke zwischen Vergangenheit und Jetzt innerhalb der App.

For the second time, the Blockbox team was invited to the International Study Camp at the Sachsenhausen Memorial. We had encounters with young adults from all over the world. A very inspiring workshop with Moritz Ecker as super-producer, Tino Kahl and Merle Weißbach from the memorial. A beautiful song was created as a reflection on the work with the biographies of the imprisoned musicians and composers.
On October 9, 2026, there will be an event marking the conclusion of the pilot project „Music Makes History,“ featuring the launch of the brand-new web app. It contains the materials from our workshops and can be used for future workshops. Additionally, the app will allow people to do audio walks on the memorial grounds, and songs from our workshops will bridge the gap between the past and the present within the app.
